Yes I'm aware I've only been doing this for 6 days, but if I'm gonna do something I might aswell do it properly. So with that in mind, here's a slideshow with April 2009's photo's on.

Day 6: The Park
A snap of part of our local park today, this is along the cycle path, the footpath is to the right. I love the lighting in the pic, the morning had been overcast with some drizzle but as I entered the cover of the tree's the sun came out from behind the clouds for the first time that morning creating a real contrast between the darkness under the tree's and the light above them.

Day 4: Ther river, swans and construction
After dropping the Sprog off at school this morning I took a walk along the river to get some photo's, this one is my favourite of the lot, although it is mildly spoiled by the construction works in the back ground.
The missus and I have spoken frequently about moving once she's qualified and has been employed for about a year, this'll be sometime in 2011 so a fair way off yet, but I can't help thinking I'll miss Bedford. It's an odd thing to say, there's really not alot here, but I've really started to enjoy taking random walks, and have found a handful of nice routes that literally start within 10-20 minutes walk from my house. It'll take alot of effort to find somewhere as good as where we are now, with Sprogs school being 10 minutes away, a supermarket across the road from the school, perfect dog walking area's and views like the one in the picture. Not to mention some really nice area's for the Sprog to play when the weather's nice.

Photo A Day 3: Tulips?
These were outside the town hall today, I thought their colours were absolutely stunning. My missus has informed me that she thinks they are a variety of Tulip, I really have no idea I'm clueless when it comes to flowers but I can appreciate their beauty.
I loved the water droplets on them and thought they came out really well in the picture.

Day 2: Hoops
The sky was a beautiful blue today, perfect spring sky. And I thought the chipped and slightly rusted basketball hoop in the park was a perfect contrast for it.
The picture came out better than I had expected it to do.

Day 1: On a line
Inspired by Brandon Klein's Photo A Day, I've decided to join in the fun. Although he's challenging himself to take pics using his mobile phone's camera, the quality of my camera phone isn't so good. So I'll be sticking to my normal Pentax Optio A20 compact camera that I normally use.
So anyway, first pic up is of my black Converse All Stars High Tops hanging on the line after being washed, I just liked the way they were hanging and figured it was a great (or at least decent) way to start this thing off.
